You will need both Visa and TWAC to enter Taiwan.

For Visa

If your country is eligible for Visa exemption, please keep the following points in mind.

1. A passport with remaining validity of at least 6 months as of the date of entry.

2. A confirmed return air/sea ticket or air/sea ticket and a visa for the next destination, and a confirmed seat reservation for departure flight.

3. Holders of Brunei, Philippines and Thailand passports must have proof of accommodation (hotel) booking, host/sponsor's contact information and sufficient travel funds.

If your country is not eligible for Visa exemption, please contact the nearest ROC Embassies and Missions Abroad in your area for your visa application.

If you need TSMEG's assistance regarding your visa application procedure, please follow the instruction below to apply for your eVisa.

1. Please provide the copy of passport to TSMEG by e-mail.
Please note that your passport must with remaining validity of at least six months when applying for the eVisa.

2. TSMEG will transfer the copy of passport to the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Taiwan to apply for the “Ecode”

3. After getting the Ecode, TSMEG will pass the “Ecode”to the applicant.

4. Applicant needs to fill out the form as below, the Ecode will be filled on page 4.

5. The application fee for an eVisa is NT$1,600. Including the NT$46 processing fee for the online credit card payment, the total amount is NT$1,646.
Please note that the fee is non-refundable even if the application is denied.

6. When an eVisa application has been approved, the applicant will receive an email confirmation. Please print eVisa out.

7. Applicant presents the eVisa in paper form and the invitation letter from TSMEG at departure and arrival.

For TWAC

Please also complete and submit Taiwan Arrival Card (TWAC) within 3 days prior to your arrival.
